can we use fireworks in hilton head????

im talking about rockets firecrackers roman candles etc.

if we can where???

at our rented house or on the beach???

is it illegal???

One can buy almost anything in South Carolina!

Different story about using them. It is illegal to set off fireworks on the beach.

Unless your rental is on the oceanfront or in view of the beach, you can probably get away with using them there.

The prohibition about the oceanfront has to do with the sea turtle nesting areas. Any noise or distracting lights can cause the turtle to become disoriented.

We do take nature seriously here.

Stan is right. Our 16 yr old son and his friend were shocked when they found out that despite the fact that there is a HUMONGUS fireworks store right at EXIT 8 from I-95 to Hilton Head Island, you CANNOT USE them there.

I think it is NIMBY syndrome. Not/in/my/backyard.

You can certainly buy to your heart%26#39;s content, but you must use them elsewhere.
