Romantic waterview seafood restaurant?

Hi -- we will be visiting from NJ %26amp; MD before our cruise out of Charleston in mid-April, and are staying one night at the Inn at River Crossing. I would love some of you wonderful locals%26#39; advice on where we can go to enjoy a late seafood or steak/ribs dinner along the water nearby the hotel that%26#39;s romantic. We may not get in until after 8 PM, so it would be about a 9 PM dinnertime.

I am a seafood lover -- my partner is also a steak and rib lover.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Please let us know what do you mean by ';romantic';.

If, by ';romantic';, you mean gracious service, candlelight, and quiet conversation, you had better plan to travel into Charleston%26#39;s historic center. There are some great waterside, seafood restaurants near your hotel, but they are more ';fun and casual'; than ';romantic';.

No -- romantic for me is not white glove and pricey. Anywhere by the water that%26#39;s quaint, has a gorgeous view, fantasic fresh food and cordial service -- creating a wonderful experience -- that%26#39;s romantic to me. Sorry for the confusion.

And we%26#39;ll have been traveling by car for 12 hours prior that day. We definitely do NOT want to drive more than we have to, so we want to stay nearby the hotel.

Thanks!

I%26#39;m hoping that ';CultureHound'; will respond soon, since she knows Mt Pleasant better than anyone.

Meanwhile, click on the ';restaurants'; link, on the left side of the Mt Pleasant forum page. You will see lots of reviews, and will get a good idea of what is available. There are also links to websites on which you can view the restaurants%26#39; menues.

Unless you are coming in mid-summer, a 9 pm dinner will be after dark. Water views will be limited.

Try RB%26#39;S at Shem Creek. Its very close to Mt. Pleasant. It is on the water where the scrimp boats dock. The seafood is fresh off the boat and very good. Nice view overlooking the creek.
