Maisons Sur Mer

I%26#39;m staying at Maisons Sur Mer this spring. It looks beautiful and the price was right so we booked it. Now, we%26#39;re wondering if it will be too quiet there. We thought we had an onsite restaurant but now it seems that it%26#39;s only open during summer months. We prefer walking to restaurants (especially for breakfast and lunch). Does anyone know what%26#39;s walking distance from this hotel? How close is Ocean Dunes?

this property is very nice and kinda out of the way....there is not shopping and few restaurants or etc really on Shore Dr. where this is located at.

You can walk to Apple Annies or the Dunes from this property...it%26#39;s about 1/3 mile down the street or so....

It helps a lot. I%26#39;m beginning to think we made a mistake. We were going to stay at Kingston Plantation but chose MSM instead. Now, I%26#39;m feeling like we%26#39;re going to be too isolated. So, to know there%26#39;s restaurants a short walk away is making me feel better.

You can google the address and find out exact locations and distances of restaurants

If you are a walker, then you could walk to the shopping center that is not that far away. I have no idea where you are from and if you like to walk but with a group, I would not hesitate to walk from Maisons to the shopping center if the weather was nice. Now if cold or extremely hot, I probably would drive. A lot of people drive in Myrtle Beach when a restaurant might be within a couple of miles where as I might walk if I was with a group and I did not have to cross Kings Hwy. Ocean Dunes is extremely close and they have a bar and restaurant plus Oceans Annie which is an outside karaoke bar.

Right next to Ocean Annie%26#39;s is a restaurant called River City Cafe which has great burgers and sandwiches. I haven%26#39;t been out that way in a few months but I%26#39;m sure they%26#39;re still open because there are 3-4 other locations of this restaurant and I know they are still open. That won%26#39;t help you for breakfast but is great for lunch. The food from River City comes on a basket plate and you can take it right outside and there is a deck over the pool area that is usually serviced by the waitress from Ocean Annie%26#39;s and you will have a fantastic view of the ocean and drinks for the bar. Sometimes if you have a really nice waitress they may go put in your order at River City for you, but I%26#39;ve only been that fortunate once.
