April weather

We are thinking about Myrtle Beach around the end of April. What is the weather like then??? Is it warm enough to swim and sunbathe?? Going with two kids 13 and 16 it would be good if they can be in the pool.

Anything is warmer than her today...-25C with wind chill!!!

WE are going early April and an indoor pool is a must for me! Pool water is at least 10 degrees cooler than the air so we can%26#39;t always swim in our pool in GA in June! I would make sure there was an indoor pool or there is a year round heated outdoor pool.

so when does it get to beach temp in MB???

Depending on what you mean by beach temp, it can be plenty warm enough for the beach in April, but the water is still pretty cold. So, warm enough to lay out, but not warm enough to swim in the ocean.

I am a Canadian that is use to cold water in the Muskoka%26#39;s and the water is about the same.

I have been going for many years to Myrtle for the whole month of April and the weather can be great and then you can get some very cool weather too.

You will have no problem for beach weather and swimming unless you really don%26#39;t like cool water.

I try to swim every day when I am there, and pretty much get in most times.

Keep and eye on the kid out in the water..(Riptides) can be an issue.

I am leaving on April 3 to April 25th and I will be sure swimming and walking the beach.

Kids will love it.

Where in the Muskoka%26#39;s are you??? Where do you stay in Myrtle Beach?? I am sure the kids and us will like it...we use to go to Florida when they were small, this will be all new to us.

I am looking at Compass Cove???

I have stayed at Compass Cove in the past and enjoyed it there. That is where we stayed on our first trip to MB back in 2005. This will be my 5th trip this Summer.

Compass Cove is decent. Mariner building being the larger condo type rooms. Pinnacle then Schooner. The pools are really nice there. They have lots of them and they are nice sizes. I don%26#39;t prefer to stay that far south but if you get a good deal what does it matter you have to drive everywhere anyway.

We have rented on Lake Joseph (Joe) for many many years.

I stay at the Dayton House.. Read the reviews on Trip advisor and visit their website.

Some people love it!.. others don%26#39;t.. If you like fancy places and lots of room space try something else. I love the big lawn with lots of chairs and umbrella%26#39;s.

I get south building Ocean Front. with kitchen.... although some people like the suites...

I also, fly out of Niagara Falls, Direct air, I use to drive.. but it%26#39;s quicker to fly from Niagara.

thanks swordhopper..my parents have a house in Severn Bridge. Dayton house looks nice too...really don%26#39;t know where to look as we have never been there. Would be nice to be close to things and not have to drive everywhere???

Like the others mention.. you kind of have to drive to get places.
