These 2 hotels seem to be owend/managed by the same company. Both have the same great rates. I%26#39;m having trouble figuring out which pictures go with which resort. Their two websites seem to use the same pics to advertise both hotels. Arfe they the same quality as each other and the web pics are therefore representative of both hotels? Or, is one substantially different or have different amenities, room quality, etc than the other?
What can you experienced Myrtle Beachers tell me abou these 2 places?
Sea Crest vs Coral Beach
We stayed at Sea Crest several years ago, but we%26#39;ve stayed at the Coral Beach a couple of times, the most recent time was for a quick weekend getaway with my wife last summer. We love the Coral Beach, but to be honest, from what I remember, they were both nice. I looked at the photos, and while the look the same, they are photos from each place. The water park area looks similar. We love the Coral Beach. Here are TWO thing I recommend. #1, angle ocean-view is not always a room on the side of the building. We were in an angle ';ocean-view'; and while it was TECHNICALLY in the same building, it was designed almost like a wing from the main building going inland. It had the view you would see if you were in a building BEHIND the main building which was on the beach. As far as getting to the elevators and everything else, it was exactly the same room, but the view was NOTHING compared to the ocean-front. We went ahead and paid the extra to move to an ocean-front room, and I will say that made SUCH a difference. #2, I%26#39;d recommend the suite with either 2 bedrooms with a kitchen/bathroom in the middle if you have kids, or 2 rooms with a bedroom/living room seperated by the kitchen/bathroom suite if you are just a couple. We have found the 2 bedroom design is nice with kids because you can watch TV or whatever in a ';parents area'; and the kids can do the same. If you are just a couple, one can sleep while the other sits on the couch in the other room and relaxes watching TV or whatever. It worked out much better than the old set-up we used to get (2 queen sized beds in a room with a bathroom attached and 1 TV.) Ask how much more these extras cost, it might be worth the splurge. I know it was for us. I wish someone had explained why the extra money might be worth it to us in the past:)
