Wanting to take a 6 hour drive to MB so that I can have the experience of teaching my 2 yr old of looking for sharks teeth b/c he loves sharks and i remember how much i loved doing this. only thing is i dont remember at all what hotels are near this. The only thing I remember was it was right behind the water park. It%26#39;s in a little trench like area. Any help with what hotels are near this would be grateful.
Can't remember which hotels were near where i want HELP!
I am sure others will be of more help,. but....if you can remember the name of the water park, you can type it in and get its address. Then go to Goggle and type in the address. You can do a search of nearby hotels. Good luck and enjoy the time with your little one:-)

The only water park actually on the beach is the Family Kingdom water park. The Withers Swash is right there which is probably the trench you%26#39;re thinking of. (Swashes are nasty and full of polluted runoff, not a great place for little ones to play. Generally you shouldn%26#39;t swim within 100 feet of one even further if it has been raining) I am not sure if there is an abundance of sharks teeth there. I haven%26#39;t heard of any specific locations. Some of the hotels near there would be Sandy Beach, Oceans One and Holiday Inn Westgate
We find lots of sharks teeth around the vicinity of the 2nd Ave Pier which is just a couple of blocks north of The Family Kingdom Water Park. Most are small but we do find some nice ones on ocassion. The biggest I ever found I found while walking the beach mid-morning. It was laying there in the sand all by itself and I was amazed no one else had noticed it. It was so big I thought it was surely a shell but it wasn%26#39;t.
PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR LITTLE ONE IN THOSE SWASHES (Drainage ditches) nothing but pure bacteria. North Myrtle Beach people are finding sharks teeth. I am always amazed how many parents let their children play in the sewer.
oh gosh i had no idea that those were nasty places. as a child i used to play in those trenches all the time and never imagined those were that nasty. thanks for telling me i will definitley not take my son to look in that trench i was talking about as i am pretty sure it was the family kingdom it was behind and there were thousands of sharks teeth around there but I am sure I can find some near the piers. Thank you everyone.
It could have been Springmaid or something in that area becuase there used to be a waterpark at the end of Ocean Blvd I think.
