Sandy Beach Resort - Question

Hello all, hoping some of you have stayed at the Sandy Beach Resort. It has great reviews here, but I understand there are two parts of the resort - the old and the new. I booked a room in the old section because of the lower price. However, now I%26#39;m getting a little worried because people seem to think of the old section as.....beat up. Anyone know if the old section would still be fine? I don%26#39;t mind if the room is outdated, just want it to be clean.

I haven%26#39;t stayed in the Magnolia Tower since the Palmetto building opened. The rooms in the Magnolia are more like 2-room hotel suits with a small kitchen between the rooms. The last time we stayed in the Magnolia the rooms were clean and well maintained as is the rest of the property. If you don%26#39;t need a condo room and want to save a little money I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s anything wrong with the Magnolia building. Maybe someone who has stayed in the Magnolia recently could comment on the current condition.
