first time to myrtle beach. we%26#39;re two parrotheads, coming with 10 others for my husband%26#39;s 50th birthday. 8 guys will golf and two ladies. for first time i ';let'; my husband do reservations and pick where to stay and i hadn%26#39;t done any research.

so, we%26#39;re staying at barefoot resorts and we want to take everyone to margaritaville for dinner

how far? easy to get to?

You will be staying at an excellent place from what I have heard about it, very positive. And you should only be about 10 minutes 15 max from Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach.

I agree with about 15 to 20 depending on traffic. When are you coming to MB? I would try and call ahead to see if they will take a reservation or call ahead. This place gets pretty crowded during peak season times and I have heard people waiting up to 4 hours to get a seat.

Barefoot is great an Margaritaville gets slammed. You really need to call ahead and pick your night and they will put you on the list even with this depending on when you are going you could still have a wait. Last year thank goodness we did this. We still had a 45 min wait but were seated before people who had just showed up (and had been waiting 1 couple 3 hours and another almost 4 - been there several times and it%26#39;s fun but food isn%26#39;t worth 3-4 hour wait).

The Barefoot resort is awesome...especially the north tower and yacht club. Margaritaville has ok food but GREAT drinks. Just be prepared to wait a bit. We had a hour and a half for lunch in June. They give you a beeper and you can walk around the stores near by.

we%26#39;re coming the last week in april. we%26#39;ve waited at the one in vegas before too but when you%26#39;re a true JB fan.....

we just had a pirate looks at 50 party for him at our house so we can%26#39;t miss margaritaville

If you decide to do Margaritaville without a call ahead it shouldn%26#39;t that big of a problem. Outdoor bar usually has plenty of seating. Have a couple Land Sharks while you wait.

If by some chance it%26#39;s your first time at a Margaritaville. The servings are huge. Be sure you have a big appetite or skip the appetizers. Some people just have the appetizer for dinner.

Keep an eye on the video screen. If weather channel has ';special report';. Watch out.......

yes one of the first things we do when we get to vegas is to get some volcano nachos! keeps us going all day!
