Can anyone tell me about the Grand Atlantic. Particularly, location and number of pools. I%26#39;ve read the reviews here but there are so few that I don%26#39;t feel I have a true assessment of the property.

I have never stayed there but I have viewed the rooms before though. It is nice and was clean when I looked. I don%26#39;t remeber about the pools though. It is located about 1 mile from the end of Ocean Blvd. I like this location because it is in the middle of Murrells Inlet and North Myrtle Beach.

My son is headed down there right now for spring break. I can provide information when he gets there. I got a great rate and the rooms looked clean and spacious and it%26#39;s right on the ocean. So it met my criteria. I%26#39;ll let you know how he likes it soon, he just got into South Carolina, he left NJ this morning.
FYI, Grand Atlantic as with most hotels in Myrtle Beach you have to be 25 to check in, or ALL members of the party must be 21. I had no idea until my son arrived and they turned him away. It was very stressful. I checked the website and my confirmation and there is no mention of the 25 thing. I even called to pay off the room on my credit card and mentioned to the clerk my son in college was coming down with his friends from RPI and I wanted to pay of the room. He took my money and said nothing. My poor son and his friends ended up without accomodations for a few hours from 11 pm to 1 AM as I tried to find them a place to stay. It was terrible. Finally I was able to get them into the Royal Palms at the Hilton. What a nice place. They were so nice and his 3 bedroom condo is fabulous. Be careful.
oh no! What an ordeal! I am so sorry for you and your son. Policies are fine, but not being upfront about them is NOT!
