Fireworks on Tuesdays

I%26#39;ve been reading all the info on HH for our upcoming trip. I%26#39;ve seen references to Tuesday night fireworks and sunset cruises with the fireworks.

Does anyone know when this begins for the season? Is it in the shelter cove area? We will be in Hilton Head March 30-April 3.

The fireworks are on Tuesdays starting in June? Also, would you recommend a cruise or just watch from shore? Thanks.

Yes, the fireworks start June 2 and last to August 18 this year. (2009)

One can see the fireworks clearly from anywhere around Shelter Cove, (and a few other parts of the island, but not as well as at Shelter Cove.) Shelter Cove is free. The view and atmosphere are a lot of fun.

You can kayak or take cruises to see the fireworks (cruises go out Broad Creek to Calibogue Sound and then return to watch the fireworks from the water before docking at Shelter Cove.) This is cool too, but if you%26#39;re mainly there for the fireworks, Shelter Cove is fine. I can say our family ';waited'; over 20 years to see it from a cruise and as much fun as we had, we really regret not doing it sooner.

great info but it looks like we%26#39;ll miss them anyway as we%26#39;re arriving on the 21st of aug. oh well.....maybe next time!

just wondered though......will they have fireworks labor day weekend? thanks in advance for the great info from this site!!
