has anyone cancelled there vacation or delayed it due too cold or bad weather?? Ive been watching the weather like a hawk lately and the climate prediction center has much below normal temps for the week we will be there march 29th - april 5th. That figures, mb has had great weather in 70%26#39;s and such and when were coming down it seems to go south, just like last year. We got 1 day on the beach last year out of 6 due to weather... Am i lookin into this toooo much, or is there still hope. Im sure the weather will be better in mb compared to buffalo, but thats the whole reason we go to mb is for the nice weather.
Cancel due to weather??I haven%26#39;t and I don%26#39;t think I will. It still wouldn%26#39;t be warm enough to get in the ocean anyways.
Cancel due to weather??heading their that week also hey anything better than green bay now. The extended forcast here is warming so they may wind up warmer down there than they are saying.
well, I think its WAY too early to predict what it will be like in early April.
I would not cancel...not a major trip like that.
The beach...is still the beach...lots to do...and its actually fun to walk on the beach in the rain;)
And....Spring weather is always ';iffy'; ...no matter where you are!!
Go...have fun....shop!
Weather forecasters can%26#39;t predict the weather more than a couple days in advance, especially here. I wouldn%26#39;t go cancelling your trip just yet. If you do that we%26#39;ll probably have 80%26#39;s that whole week. ;)
I am with you on this one. I also went last year and got to go to the beach one day for 3 hours. You were there the same week I was. What hotel did you stay in??? I am going to try Panama City this time. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Myrtle Beach. But, after last year, I don%26#39;t want to risk it. I am planning on going in June so I thought I would try Panama City. I have never been there. Like you, I have been watching the weather like a hawk for MB, Indianapolis and PCB. Myrtle Beach is not looking good at all. I am not trying to discourage you but maybe you should try PCB this time.
Have been to MB and PCB many times over the years. If I were going in Jan or Feb, I MIGHT try PCB, but overall I prefer MB. Since we go 5-6 times a year anyway I do not get upset if it rains or turns cool on one trip since there is so much other to do. Some time back a poster wrote ';if you are lucky enough to be at the beach, you are lucky enough ';.
basketscrapper, we stayed at grande shores last year, and now sandy beach. Its soo tough to decide weather to just not go and save $1k, but we look forward to this trip every year, but also in the same breath we dont want to go if its only in the 50%26#39;s and rain ya know. Eveyone has made a valid point, it probably would be 80 degrees if we cancelled lol, and there is lots to do. Panama city wasnt an option, but can keep it in mind. We just love myrtle beach and really dont want to cancel, sooo PLEASE BRING WARM WEATHER TO MYRTLE BEACH haha..
Wow tough call. From personal expereince Spring Break time doesn%26#39;t work for us it%26#39;s never warm enough and almost always half of our days are spent watching the rain. I%26#39;m even iffy on June this year lol I%26#39;m a July - August kinda person (family) but that doesn%26#39;t work for us this year.
You just have to go with your gut and do what you think is best. Although if I were going to FLA I would go further south and make it a worthwhile trip (lived in Fla 12 yrs)
Good luck with your choice
