Thank you in advance for the help with my question. We are staying at the Embassy Suites by Marion Square. Are there any delis, chains, or fast food places around there or the historic district to get something quick?
quick lunch / dinner ideas
**Disclaimer** this is not an authentic Mexican restaurant but it%26#39;s great for a quick and delicious lunch... Juanita Greenberg%26#39;s on King Street. But do me a favor and go if you want tasty food at a great price and want to eat outside! The inside is ';just ok'; but the back patio - particularly the elevated wooden deck - is my *Favorite* lunch place in Charleston when I don%26#39;t feel like shrimp or southern food. Don%26#39;t take it too seriously as it%26#39;s meant to be fun. Get a 1/2 sweet, 1/2 unsweetened tea and a ';chicken nachos'; (trust me, it%26#39;s good but don%26#39;t expect ';traditional'; nachos - these are better).
Fast and fun.
Welcome to Charleston - Enjoy your visit! (is this your only question by the way???)

There are all kinds of fast food places to grab something along King Street. Most are on the other side of Calhoun from you but all are very close. They cater to the College of Charleston students. There are very few chains and the delis are different from up north.
Bubba Slys is very near you. It has good sandwiches (I think they even deliver), Kickin Chicken has good sandwiches, salads and wings. Andolinis Pizza is on Wentworth. There is an Irish Pub on King Street.
Most of the places post their menus so you can see the cost and selection before going inside. Your hotel may even have some of their menus.
