any restaurants in walking distance?

first time to MB in june

There are restaurants within walking distance. BUT, here%26#39;s my suggestions.

Cafe Amalfi in the hotel is nice for breakfast, assuming they have rehired the many people they layed off in mid February.

Omaha Steakhouse in Embassy Suites (part of the Kingston Planation complex) is not worth going to.

Fisheye Grill at Embassy -very casual- has a nice menu. My husband loves their she crab soup and he%26#39;s picky!

The buffet at Embassy Suites is only if you absolutely have no other options.

There are Starbucks at both Hilton and Embassy Suites.

As far as other restaurants within walking, no.

There is an Irish Pub at the end of the road but their service is really hit or miss.

Will you have a car? If yes, I have plenty of places to recommend that are not too far to drive.

thanks for the info...we are so excited, this is our first ';big'; vacation in years.....we have never been to myrtle beach

Are you staying at HIlton or in Royale Palms? RP is far superior to Hilton. Only 2 years old. Connected to the HIlton via an indoor corridor. Booking for RP is done through HIlton. They have 1 bedrooms at RP. If you have more questions about this area just ask as it%26#39;s where I spend a great deal of my time. Just returned from being at Kingston for 5 weeks.

hello,

we are staying at the hilton...i won a hotel stay for 6 nights. it seems like a nice, safe area. any additional info would be great.

We are also staying at the Hilton in June. We visited the Royale Palms also but there rates are much higher than the Hilton. Restaurant row is not too far away, plenty of great restaurants on that strip and you are only about 4 to 5 miles away from Barefoot Landing which is very similar to Broadway at the Beach with plenty of shopping and restaurants. There are some good links on the left of this forum and you can check out the funbeaches website too for more great tips.

what a small world...i live near new castle. have you stayed at the hilton before? is it nice?

Kenz - This will be my first time staying at the Hilton. We have stayed at the following in the past 4 years:

Compass Cove

Crown Reef

Beach Cove (twice).

We loved the Beach Cove, very nice pools and live music, tropical grounds. The Hilton %26amp; Royale Palms reminded me so much of the Beach Cove except a step above for accomodations I think. This is a great location not too far from restaurants, shopping, etc...

Kingston is our home away from home. We have a home in Windermere and Royale Palms.

If you really want to splurge rent a cabana by the lazy river, sandy bottom pool in front of Royale Palms.

There is a flat screen tv in each cabana. They%26#39;ll bring you cold water, towels, fruit tray. You can order from the outdoor cafe from the cabana. Last year all menu items were under $10. Will probably be the same this season. It%26#39;s so great to be able to escape the direct sun but so close to the pool and ocean.

The outdoor bar that overlooks the ocean is great.

Now, for eating!
