How to get the floor you want?

When booking the condos through the property website, rather than through a realty company, how can you get the floor you want? I only want a high floor condo. l am looking at the Anderson Ocean Club and there is no way to specify the floor or the unit. Thanks.

Try phoning the property to put in a request. Most places will take ';requests';, but I know of none that will guarantee more than a general view.

The other option is to rent direct from owner on vrbo, HomeAway, or other website. One big advantage of renting from the owner is that you know exactly which condo you will get. A disadvantage is that you can%26#39;t change if you find something not to your liking.

Are any of the condos on VROB? If they are, then you won%26#39;t have a problem... I love www.vrob.com! We never rent from the property or a realty company if there are rentals by owner.

We are staying at Anderson Ocean Club June 6-12 and I requested a room above the 5th floor when I spoke with the woman who booked my reservation.

After using three rental agencies over the years,the usual method is to try to rent each unit that they control a similar number of times to be able to keep all those owners in their listings. To do otherwise would leave very unhappty owners of units with lesser views. To be able to see the EXACT unit and it%26#39;s view, the best route in my opinion is to rent directly from an owner. Ask for references from previous guests. All owners that I know are glad to supply these. IMO the people who are a little more particular about what they rent are more likely to leave the unit in good condition than some others.

I would find the number and call directly. Even though most places won%26#39;t guarantee a particular floor they will make note of any requests. When we stay in resorts, rather than condos, I always request a high floor. I might be anal, but I call the day before arrival to confirm reservations %26amp; to make sure they have my request noted. I%26#39;ve been very lucky that the request has usually been honored.

Call and ask. In my experience there are more people that must have low floors than those that must have high floors. As everyone else says the only way to assure a high floor is to book through the owner or realty company.
