Any downtown Historic Hotels offer good same day deals Satur

We are driving to Charleston on a Saturday. Do any of the historic downtown hotels have a policy where they release rooms a reduced rates on the same day....ie., if we called them on the way down we might get something substantially less?

Not knowing for sure, I%26#39;d say not - this Saturday marks the first weekend of the Historic Society Tours of Homes and Gardens, so it should be pretty busy in Charleston from here on out through about Labor Day. When these tours are over, we%26#39;re gearing up for Spoleto and then there%26#39;s the summer beach season right after that.

That%26#39;s why it%26#39;s crazy. We%26#39;re actually staying downtown on Sunday night and would love to get either the same hotel (Mills) or something similar....but not anything over $250 a night!!! The Saturday night thing was unexpected....
