I%26#39;m having a hard time finding a 2 bedroom condo to rent in Folly. We want it to be oceanside. All of the condos I seem to find are predominantly 3 bedroom and 3 bath. I don%26#39;t want to pay for room we don%26#39;t need. It is just 2 adults and 2 kids. Any advice?
2BR Condos in Folly
Check rent-from-owner sites like vrbo.com. There are a FEW two bedroom places listed.
In terms of overall supply, there are very few large condominium buildings on Folly Beach, other than in the immediate area of the Holiday Inn and the pier. Most residences on Folly are free-standing homes, in various sizes and styles.

You will tend to find larger accomodations anywhere you look for beachfront. Pricey property means owners want to get maximum return for their investment.
As Villa stated, check VRBO, I just looked and there are a few 2br, but it%26#39;s mostly 4 %26amp; 5brms.
Good luck %26amp; have fun!
I know you said you are looking for a two-bedroom unit, but if you want a condo that is on the ocean, check out Pavilion Watch. We have stayed there in three-bedroom units for several years and really like it. The condo is just steps away from the public access to the beach; there is private, off-street parking, and you are withing walking distance of the attractions in the town such as the pier, the shops and restaurants.
You can find 2 bedroom condo rentals with a vacation rental company on Folly Beach. dunes properties has condos all over the island and takes great care of their guests and properties.
You may have more luck on Isle of Palms. There are plenty of 2br villas (condos) with great views of the newly restored beach (150 yards wide at high tide.) I list mine with CCP but all of the property managers have multiple listings and will be very helpful in locating the type of property you want. Check out http://www.carolinacoastalproperties.net/, www.resortquestisleofpalms.com/… or http://www.islandrealty.com/.
Good luck.
I can help you. In what time period would you like to visit Folly?
We rented a 2BR last summer at Charleston Oceanfront Villas using Dunes Properties. I wish I could remember the unit number, because it was very nice.
It was on the 4th floor. It was a great location, close to the pier and all the restaurants.
During certain times they offer a 3 bedroom Charleston Oceanfront Villas as a 2 bedroom. I believe this is seasonal.
I%26#39;m 99.95% sure this is the one we rented, Charleston Oceanfront Villas #412.

It had a great view, was in a great location, and was a very nice condo. The kitchen was equipped well, and it had its own washer and dryer. The closet in the master bedroom was huge, which was nice, because it gave us a place to stash our luggage and extra beach towels, and still had plenty of room for us to hang up our clothes. The master bath had a walk in shower as well as a jacuzzi tub.
We liked being able to go to the pier at night or out to eat without having to move the car.
We were very happy with our choice. DH said it was the best vacation rental I%26#39;ve ever picked.
