We will be in Columbia this weekend for a wedding. We have Saturday open during the and we heard about a St. Paddy%26#39;s Day festival at Five Points (we are missing a festival in Maryland that we always enjoy this year because of the wedding). I was wondering if anyone has any first hand opinions on whether it is worthwhile, especially when the weather looks iffy, for a couple of 30 somethings who still like to have fun.
St. Patrick's Day Festival
Sure, it is totally worth walking down there to see what is going on. They have multiple stages with bands (maybe five stages?), a 5k in the morning, carnival for kids, vendors all over the place, etc. It%26#39;s a good time for all. Plus, there are plenty of bars and restaurants to duck into if the weather is rainy.
Attendance may be a little off due to the weather, but I think there were around 40,000 folks there last year.
