hotels near Avista

We%26#39;ve stayed at the Avista and thought it was very nice, particularly good for teens as its in walking distance to the Main St. shops. I%26#39;m trying to remember the names of any other hotels in that vicinity just to compare prices - I would still want something in walking distance to Main st. Mapquest doesn%26#39;t come up with much - but it seems like there was at least one decent looking place - is it Ocean Drive?

In the immediate area of Avista is Ashworth, Maritime and Ocean Drive Beach Resort. All are few years older than Avista.

One mile north is brand new Towers On The Grove. First season this year. Have heard they are giving super good rates to get people in there. Very close to Sea Mountain Highway which would keep teens entertained about as well as Main Street.

South of Main Street you would have Ocean Bay Club two blocks south. Another block is Wyndham Ocean Blvd. Reviews vary on that one.

Another block is MarVista. Two years old and getting good reviews.

Towers on the Grove is awesome looking but does not have pools done yet. Be sure to check before you book as that was a deal breaker for us!

I noticed when I was down two weekends ago the Maritime was getting a makeover. It%26#39;s a fairly old place, and I dont know how much work is going to be done.
