11 Singleton Place

I%26#39;ve been coming to HHI for about 13 years. Usually stay somewhere in Palmetto Dunes. Last year I decided to try something different.

After locating what looked like a nice place on the internet, we drove over to Singleton Beach and checked it out. Liked what we saw on the outside and ended up reserving 11 Singleton Place for the first week in June of this year.

Anyone have any specific reviews for this location?

Walk out to the beach, turn right and walk a short ways to ';Coco%26#39;s on the Beach'; at the RTJ #10 green. This was one of the island%26#39;s best kept secrets last year, but the secret is starting to get out...

Great food and drink right on the oceanfront. Larry sometimes has live music and other events. Check the website. He%26#39;s also getting ready to offer bike, surfboard and other fun rentals beachside.

Also don%26#39;t overlook Harold%26#39;s Diner at the corner of Singleton Beach Rd and 278. Best Philly Cheesesteaks on the island and great breakfast too. Open for breakfast and lunch. Closed Sunday and Monday.

If you fish or crab, Singleton Beach is one of the favorite spots for many locals. The folly spilling into the ocean seems to attract lots of fish.

The beach is simply outstanding and always uncrowded. The folly prevents access from the public beaches on the northside except at low tide. The closest public access to the south is miles away at Coligny.

Have fun!

I have not been in one, but I can tell you this. the Singleton Beach townhouses are among the newest oceanfront properties on the island. They were also expensive to buy.

So you should find amenities there that may not be available in other properties.

And it looks like my profile photo over to the left of my posting here, because that%26#39;s a photo of the folly.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the info.
